Hello and welcome!

I have a mission. My goal is to guide others on a journey back to their authentic selves to reclaim the vitality and confidence that is their birthright. Do you remember when you were a kid and there were moments where you were so full of energy, life and wonder? Where you felt invincible, like you could do anything? We have all had those moments, even those of us that have experienced significant trauma. For some of us, that version of ourselves has been buried for a long time. For others, recent events have dimmed that inner light and total belief that anything is possible. It is absolutely possible to go back inside, to those moments where that light and life force were dimmed, shut down or scared out of us. One way back is through the exploration of the origin of some of our limiting beliefs, many of which were formed before the age of 6, and continue to affect our lives today. Research has shown that the majority of our behaviors are directed by our subconscious mind. By definition the subconscious is that which is below our awareness. Parts of ourselves are “frozen” in time at the moment of these impactful experiences and we are continuing to act out or limit our choices based on experiences that for some of us occurred decades ago. If it is time for you to recover those lost aspects of yourself and if you are ready to uncover your true essence, then you have come to the right place.

I have spent the last 15 years working with children, adolescents, adults and families to support them in healing old wounds, challenging old beliefs and creating new patterns. I believe that the process of therapy should be one of empowerment and self-healing. I am simply a guide. You are the expert on you! My goal is to send you from my office with tools and the confidence to reach for the tools that you know work for you.

I am a firm believer that, “YOU are not the problem, the PROBLEM is the problem”. I focus on helping people separate their problems from who they are, so that they can be looked at objectively and with compassion and therefore, transformed into something beneficial.

I try to blend a practical, solution-focused approach using evidence-based practices with creative and experiential approaches such as sandtray, art therapy, drama therapy, storytelling, myth/metaphor and Gestalt work when appropriate. This creative approach helps to bypass the “inner critic” and allows us to access the wisest and most balanced parts of ourselves for deep and lasting healing.

I am certified in Brainspotting, Clinical Hypnotherapy and EFT/Matrix Reimprinting. Since introducing Brainspotting to my practice, I would say 75% of my clients prefer and have found amazing results with Brainspotting. These very empowering modalities are quick, effective and can be taught as self-healing tools to take home and do with yourself to reinforce the healing you have already experienced or to create new healthy patterns. For those of you who have experienced trauma, these modalities can help one address deep trauma and core negative beliefs without having to “re-experience” the trauma. I am also trained in IFS (Internal Family Systems), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), MI (Motivational Interviewing), Triple P, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Dissociative Disorders and the Normalization of Fragmentation, and Various Somatic/Embodiment practices.

Life can be challenging and very serious at times. It can also be full of joy, tenderness, play and vitality. I like to help people access the full range of their feelings, while learning to tolerate distress, communicate effectively, and find self-acceptance and fulfillment.

I look forward to creating a shared experience with you, so that you can move forward with new tools, insights and a better understanding of yourself and your relationships.
